About Happy's
Jack Mooney was a successful bar and restaurant owner in the French Quarter of New Orleans in the late '50's and '60's.
He was nicknamed, Happy, because of his ubiquitous upbeat demeanor and his infectious smile. "Happy Jack" always discussed the importance of making customers his friends first. The caricature of "Happy" Jack was drawn in 1965 in front of St. Louis Cathedral, hence the significance of the date on our logo.
Happy's Irish Pub emulates Jack Mooney's personality and zest for life with every pint we serve. Cheers!
